What Dragon Queen's Dark Desire is about
Dragon Queen’s Dark Desire Candy Shorts is fantasy with a flirtation problem. Colette is the heir to a dragon throne who has never managed to transform, which means no dragon and no crown. Her mother has a fix in mind: a warlock healer, and that’s you. The exam starts with a request to see her arm, moves to a diagnosis that the spell can’t be found through fabric, and Colette, who is engaged and says so repeatedly, decides she wants you to watch rather than look away. Episode 2 widens the cast. The curse can’t be broken alone, so Colette meets Agatha, who grows the one ingredient the cure needs and flirts with royalty without a trace of embarrassment. Candy tags it Fantasy and pitches it as a story where you hold the deciding vote. Everyone is a fictional adult, and the free episodes are suggestive, not explicit.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
This is gloriously silly: a curse that stops a royal from becoming a dragon, treated by an examination that gets personal. After a lot of office-and-family setups, a fantasy world is a change of scenery, and the 57-second episodes move quickly enough that the silliness never wears out its welcome. (I never expected to type the phrase “grows the one ingredient that breaks your spell” without irony, and yet.) The weak spot is plot. The free pair leans on innuendo more than story, and the stakes are cartoonish. If you want worldbuilding, look elsewhere. If you want a campy diversion, this fits.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (57 seconds) sets the curse and the cure: Colette can’t become a dragon, her mother produces a warlock healer, and an exam that needs bare skin turns into something else. Episode 2 (also 57 seconds) admits the cure isn’t that simple. The spell can’t be broken alone, so Colette meets Agatha, who grows the key ingredient and flirts with the future queen on sight. Colette protests that she’s engaged; Agatha has a counterargument. The free part is suggestive, not explicit, and it ends with Colette agreeing to try.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: three episodes at 12 tokens each, 36 tokens to finish, well inside the 100 tokens that come with a month of Premium. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. Candy says the series ends in a chat with Colette. A warning on that: her chat profile describes a modern-day barista, so the chat may not carry on the fantasy. No spoilers on whether the curse gets broken.

Verdict
Silly, suggestive and surprisingly watchable a minute at a time. It has the thinnest plot in my pile but a distinctive setting, at Candy’s standard 12 tokens an episode. Watch the free pair; if you’re laughing at the warlock’s predicament by the end of episode 2, 36 tokens is a fair price for the rest.
