Candy AI review 2026: is it worth paying for?

My verdict: 8 out of 10. Candy Shorts is the best reason to sign up, the chat is why people stay, and the annual plan makes it cheap. Tokens are the catch.

Short answer

My Candy AI review verdict: 8/10, and worth it on the annual plan. Candy AI pairs 133 short vertical AI series (774 episodes, 248 of them free) with companion chat, 18+ image and video generation, phone calls (all Premium-only) and licensed Creator twins. Premium is $3.99/mo billed yearly, with 100 tokens a month; locked episodes cost 12 tokens. Start free, and pay once you’d finish more than one series a month.

Candy AI review: what you’re actually signing up for

I came for the Shorts, told myself I’d cancel after one series, and my card statement has said “EverAI” ever since. Consider this review a confession with spreadsheets.

Candy AI is an adults-only AI companion platform run by EverAI Limited in Malta. It does six things under one login:

  • Candy Shorts: vertical AI-generated series, typically 40 to 120 seconds an episode, 133 series deep.
  • Chat with AI characters, sorted into female companions, anime and guys, with unlimited texting on Premium.
  • Voice: voice messages, plus AI phone calls billed per minute.
  • Generation: 18+ images and videos, including 5-second “Scene Video” clips of a chat moment.
  • Create your own character from scratch.
  • Candy Creators: licensed AI twins of real adult performers.

There’s one Premium tier, three main billing lengths, and tokens on top. It runs in the browser, with an Add to Home Screen option on phones; we couldn’t verify any native App Store or Google Play app.

Plenty of Candy AI reviews still quote older catalog counts. This Candy AI review, 2026 edition, uses numbers checked on October 2, 2026, from a US connection, which is why it says 133 series and not something rounder. If you want the beginner’s version first, start with what Candy AI is.

Candy Shorts review: the headline feature

Candy Shorts is the reason to sign up, and the best reason to stay. Here’s the format in numbers:

  • 133 series, 774 episodes. Most series run 5 episodes; the longest, My bestie betrayed me, runs 34.
  • Short and vertical: 9:16, typically 40 to 120 seconds. The free episodes average about 66 seconds.
  • Episodes 1 and 2 are free on a free account for every non-Spicy series. Episode 3 onward costs 12 tokens, or 30 on Creators series.
  • English subtitles throughout, dubs in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese on many series, and speed control from 0.5x to 2x.
  • Most series end in a chat with the lead character, a genuinely clever bit of design.

What it does well: hooks. Each free pair is built to stop right where you want episode 3, which, as a Candy AI Shorts review in one sentence, is both the compliment and the complaint. The 10 series under the Fantasy tag are a welcome change of scenery from the catalog’s favorite setups.

What it does less well: plot. Five episodes of a minute or two don’t leave much room for depth, and the catalog leans heavily on taboo premises; 56 of 133 series carry Candy’s Taboo tag. If step-family scenarios aren’t your thing, filter by tag and you’ll still have plenty.

The fairest test is free. Pick two series, watch episodes 1 and 2, and see if either one makes you reach for your wallet.

Chat, images and video: the rest of Candy AI

Shorts get you in; chat is what Candy is actually built around. Premium makes texting unlimited, and on top of text you get voice messages, AI phone calls at 3 tokens a minute (a beta price, and subscription-only), and Image and Video modes inside the chat itself.

The handoff from Shorts is the smartest piece of design here. Finish a series and most hand you straight to a chat with the lead character, so the story you just watched becomes a conversation you can steer. A few end with a prompt to create your own character instead.

The rest of the toolkit:

  • Image generator: 18+ images, a Premium benefit; a free account stops at “Upgrade to Unlock.”
  • Scene Video: a 5-second clip of a chat moment for 12 tokens. Premium-only too, fun, and expensive per second; a month of tokens buys 40 seconds.
  • Create Character: design a companion from scratch, also a Premium benefit. The options run from Realistic or Anime and an age of 18 to 55+ through hair, body, personality and voice.
  • Private Content packs per character (Mila Nowak’s cost 290 tokens each), a Collection gallery and a Discover feed.
  • Group chats via a “New Group” button, and promoted “Live Action” characters, which match Premium’s “Full Live Action Experience.”

My take: the chat side is broader than the Shorts side and fuzzier about what extras cost. Texting is unlimited on Premium, but anything with a voice or a moving picture draws on the same 100 tokens your Shorts habit needs, and a single Private Content pack costs 290 on its own. Budget accordingly, or you’ll discover that a few Scene Videos ate the episodes you meant to unlock.

Candy Creators: real performers, licensed AI twins

Candy Creators is the premium tier inside Premium. These are licensed AI Digital Twins of real adult performers: what you see is the performer’s AI twin, not filmed footage. Candy lists 13 Creators, and five of them currently appear in Shorts:

Creator Followers shown on Candy Shorts series
Riley Reid 3M 4, including My Wife’s Best Friend
Mia Malkova 11.6M 2, including Private Lessons
Sophie Dee 12.2M 1, Under Her Watch
Bonnie Blue not shown 2, including Bonnie Blue is My Stepsister
Lexi Luna 933K 1, Thanksgiving With My Best Friend’s Mom

The other eight Creators have no series yet, and the Creators page also lists Cams, marked as coming soon.

The catch is price. Creators episodes cost 30 tokens instead of 12 (50 on the two Spicy ones), so finishing a 5-episode Creators series takes 90 tokens, nearly your whole monthly allowance. For a fan of a specific performer, that’s fair. For a casual viewer, two standard series give you twice the story for 72 tokens.

I like that the licensing is out in the open. Paying performers for their likeness is the right way to do this, and it’s one more sign the platform is run like a business rather than a side hustle.

Candy AI pricing, in one table

The pricing is simple once you separate the membership from the tokens.

Option Price What you get
Free account $0, no card Episodes 1–2 of every regular series (248 episodes)
12 months $3.99/mo, billed $47.88 Premium + 100 tokens a month
3 months $8.99/mo, billed $26.97 Premium + 100 tokens a month
1 month $13.99 Premium + 100 tokens a month
Locked episode 12 tokens (30 on Creators) Yours to keep, per Candy
Locked Spicy episode 30 tokens (50 on Creators) Premium needed from episode 1
Private Content pack 290 tokens (Mila Nowak’s) A video plus photos, added to your gallery

Extra tokens are a Premium-member purchase: the token store isn’t available on free accounts, and we didn’t see prices. On the annual plan, a token works out to about 4 cents, so a standard series costs about $1.44 of your subscription and a Creators series about $3.59. On the monthly plan, the same standard series is about $5.04.

Plans renew automatically for the same price and term, local taxes may apply, and the charge shows as “EverAI.” Candy also showed weekly ($5.60) and every-two-weeks ($9.79) billing; both cost far more over a year, $291.20 and $254.54 respectively. Full arithmetic, including binge scenarios, is on the Candy AI pricing page.

Pros and cons

What I like

  • 248 free episodes, about 4.5 hours, on a free account with no card
  • The annual plan is cheap: $3.99 a month, renewing at the same price
  • One Premium tier, no maze of feature levels
  • Unlocked episodes stay yours; no paying twice to rewatch
  • Series hand off to a chat with the lead character
  • Real performers, licensed as AI twins
  • Subtitles, six dub languages on many series, speed control, built for phones
  • Discreet “EverAI” billing

What I don’t

  • The paywall lands at episode 3, every single time
  • Tokens on top of Premium: 100 a month is about two standard series
  • Creators episodes cost 30 tokens, two and a half times the standard price
  • Long series get expensive: 384 tokens to finish the longest one
  • The nine Spicy titles have no free episodes, and cost 30 tokens an episode after the first two, which need Premium
  • Private Content packs run 290 tokens each, nearly three months of allowance
  • Image, video and calls are locked on a free account
  • Taboo premises dominate the catalog
  • No native app we could verify; it’s a browser web app
  • Auto-renewal means you need a calendar reminder (how to cancel)

The cons are mostly about pace, not quality. Candy is happy to let you watch everything; it just meters how fast.

Candy AI scores: Shorts, chat, visuals, value

Is Candy AI good? Here’s how I score it, out of 10:

Category Score Why
Shorts 8.5 Big, current catalog with a generous free tier; plots are thin and taboo-heavy
Chat 8 Unlimited texting, voice and calls, plus the Shorts-to-chat handoff; extras draw on tokens
Visuals 7.5 HD vertical video and 18+ generation; still recognizably AI, and Scene Video stops at 5 seconds
Value 8 $3.99/mo on the annual plan is cheap; tokens cap how much you can watch, and 290-token Private Content packs stretch them
Overall 8.0 Average of the four

Shorts scores highest because it’s the most finished product: you know exactly what an episode costs, the free tier is real, and new episodes keep arriving; 12 series carry a New Episodes badge as I write this. Value would be a 9 if the monthly allowance stretched further. Judged on the monthly plan instead of annual, it drops to about a 6.

Visuals is the lowest score, and it’s an AI-wide limitation rather than a Candy-specific one. Like all AI video right now, it sometimes looks exactly like what it is. Your tolerance for that is the best predictor of whether you’ll love Candy or merely like it.

Who it’s for, and is Candy AI worth it?

Candy AI is for you if you like short, serialized fantasies you can watch on your phone a minute at a time, you’re a fan of one of the Creators, or you want chat and Shorts in one place for about the price of a fancy coffee a month.

Skip it if you want long-form plots, flat-fee unlimited watching, or a catalog without step-family setups, or if your plan is to binge 34-episode series on the monthly plan. That last one is the most expensive way to enjoy anything short of season tickets.

So, is Candy Shorts worth it? On the free tier, obviously: it costs nothing and you get 248 episodes. On the annual plan, yes for most people who’d finish more than one series a month, because $3.99 buys 100 tokens, enough for two standard series, plus unlimited chat. On the monthly plan, only as a one-off: buy a month, finish what you came for, and cancel the renewal.

Is Candy AI worth it overall? My score is 8/10: a complete package with honest pricing and a real free tier, held back by tokens that meter your fun. Start free; if you’re going to finish more than one series a month, the annual plan at $3.99/mo is the cheapest way in.
