In short
Candy AI has an AI boyfriend side: the “Guys” tab lists male companions, each with a name, age and one-line bio, and you can start chatting with a free account. Premium ($3.99/mo on the annual plan, billed $47.88) gives the same tools as the girls’ side, including unlimited texts and 100 tokens a month. Examples we saw: Charles, 49; Malik, 30; Erik, 27; Ethan, 25.
What the Candy AI boyfriend tab is
I spend so much time on Candy’s Girls tab and its Shorts that I figured the Guys tab deserved an equal-opportunity visit. Consider this a long-overdue visit.
The Candy AI boyfriend side lives under the “Guys” tab, one of three main categories alongside Girls and Anime. Open it and you get male companions, each shown with a name, an age and a one-line bio. Pick one and you’re in a chat, the same way you would be on the girls’ side.
It’s part of the same product, not a separate app. Candy runs one account, one Premium plan and, according to the platform, the same tools on both sides. That means everything we cover in our guides to chat, images, Scene Videos and phone calls is the baseline for the Guys tab too.
One caveat I’ll repeat: I haven’t tested every tool on every companion. The platform says the tools are shared, and I take it at its word, but the chat bar of the companion you open is the final authority.
Who you’ll meet on the Guys tab
Candy’s lineup changes, so treat these as examples from what we saw rather than a permanent roster.
| Name | Age | One-line bio |
|---|---|---|
| Charles | 49 | A distinguished businessman |
| Malik | 30 | Fitness coach and jazz fan who plays saxophone |
| Erik | 27 | Tech-savvy data analyst into sailing, tennis and fitness |
| Ethan | 25 | A violinist |
Every Candy AI boyfriend is a fictional adult, and the ages above are what Candy lists. The range is a useful signal: from a mid-twenties musician to a distinguished businessman in his late forties, there’s more than one type on offer.
I’ll admit Malik’s bio is the one that got me. A fitness coach who plays saxophone is either a deeply balanced person or a man with a very specific Saturday routine. Either way I’d open the chat.
If you want to see how the profiles read before you commit, a free account lets you browse and start. On the girls’ side, our chat guide explains the profile fields, though we haven’t verified that the Guys profiles use the same fields.
How Candy AI boyfriends work: same tools, same Premium
Candy’s pitch on the Guys tab is that you get the same toolkit as the girls’ side. In practice, that means:
- Chat. Start with a free account. Premium lists unlimited text messages.
- Scene buttons. The chat bar carries Image and Video buttons; a Scene Video is a 5-second clip for 12 tokens. Both are Premium features: a free account sees an “Upgrade to Unlock” prompt. See the AI video generator guide.
- Phone calls. AI Phone Calls cost 3 tokens a minute in beta and need a subscription; a free account gets “Upgrade to Unlock.” See the AI phone calls guide.
- Your own character. Candy’s Create Character benefit is worded as “Create your own AI Girlfriend(s),” but the creator has a separate male version with a 9-step progress bar, so male options exist. It’s a Premium perk. Our create guide has the details.
The honest limit on this list is that “same tools” comes from Candy’s own description of the platform, and we didn’t test each one on a male companion. If a feature matters to you, open the chat and look for it before you subscribe.
Premium is one plan across Girls, Anime and Guys, so you’re not paying twice for a second tab. That’s the one part of the platform I’d call genuinely tidy.
Candy AI gay searches: what we can and can’t say
People search “candy ai gay,” and it deserves a direct answer rather than a vague one.
Here’s what we verified: Candy has a Guys tab of male companions with a name, age and one-line bio, and the tools and Premium plan are shared with the rest of the platform.
Here’s what we didn’t verify: any orientation filter, any setting that tunes how a companion responds, or how a specific companion handles a specific kind of story. I’m not going to promise an experience I haven’t seen.
What I can suggest is the cheap test. A free Candy account lets you browse the Guys tab, read the bios and start a chat. The first few replies tell you more about fit than any review, including this one.
On Shorts: Candy Shorts is its own section of the platform, and we didn’t verify any series built around the Guys tab. If you’re curious how Shorts work, our series catalog shows every title with its free and locked episodes.
Honest limits, honest page. I’d rather you leave informed than flattered.
What the Candy AI boyfriend side costs
A Candy AI boyfriend costs the same as any other Candy companion: the Premium plan, identical on every tab.
| Plan (US) | Per month | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $3.99 | $47.88 |
| 3 months | $8.99 | $26.97 |
| 1 month | $13.99 | $13.99 |
Premium includes unlimited text messages, 18+ image and video generation, Create Character and 100 tokens a month. Plans renew automatically, Candy says you can cancel any time in settings, and charges show as “EverAI” on a statement.
Tokens fund the extras: 12 for a Scene Video, 3 a minute for calls and 12 for a locked Shorts episode (30 on Candy Creators series). The image, video and call buttons themselves are Premium features, so a free account only sees “Upgrade to Unlock.” Your 100 monthly tokens stretch to about 8 Scene Videos or 33 minutes of calls.
Candy runs seasonal sale banners from time to time, but the 70% off the annual plan is applied automatically, no code needed. The full table, including cheaper ways in, is on our Candy AI pricing page.
Free accounts can start chats, but Candy doesn’t publish the free message limit, so I won’t guess one.
Is Candy AI boyfriend worth trying?
Yes, if you want a Candy AI boyfriend chat with a male character and you’re happy with one shared Premium plan. The Guys tab is easy to browse, the bios are short enough to scan quickly, and a free account is enough to find out whether the chat suits you.
The downsides are the ones the whole platform shares: the free message limit isn’t published, extras spend tokens on top of Premium, the plan renews automatically, and we didn’t test every tool on every companion. I’d also treat the lineup we saw as a snapshot, not a catalog.
If you’re undecided, here’s my order of operations: make the free account, read the Guys tab bios, open two or three chats, then decide whether Premium is worth it. That costs nothing and settles most of the question.
Start free; if you’re going to finish more than one series a month, the annual plan at $3.99/mo is the cheapest way in. The same plan covers the AI anime tab too, so if the Guys tab is just the start of your browsing, the price stays the same.
