Candy AI App: How to Get Candy on iPhone, Android and Desktop

Candy runs in your browser and installs to your home screen as a web app, no store download needed. Here’s how to set it up, and why “Candy AI APK” files are a bad bet.

Short answer

The Candy AI app is a web app: Candy runs in your browser, and its “Get App” option adds it to your home screen (iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen; Android: browser menu → Add to Home Screen), which is how Candy offers notifications. We couldn’t verify any official App Store or Google Play listing, so treat store apps and APK files using the Candy name with suspicion.

Does Candy AI have an app?

I once spent ten minutes searching an app store for Candy before realizing the app was already in my browser, waiting for me to tap Share. In my defense, it was late.

The Candy AI app is a web app, and that’s the whole trick. Candy is a website, candy.ai, that works in any modern browser on a phone, tablet or computer. Its “Get App” option doesn’t send you to a store. It walks you through Add to Home Screen, which puts a Candy icon next to your other apps and lets Candy send you notifications.

What that means in practice:

  • Nothing to download, no store listing and no update prompts.
  • One account everywhere. Your chats, tokens and unlocked episodes follow you from phone to laptop and back.
  • Everything runs on the site: Candy Shorts, AI chat, image and video generation, phone calls and character creation.

What we could not find is an official native app in Apple’s App Store or on Google Play. We didn’t verify any listing, so I won’t pretend one exists. If something claims to be the Candy AI app, read the store and APK sections below before you tap Install.

iPhone, Android and desktop at a glance

Here’s how to get Candy on every device you’re likely to own.

Platform How to get Candy Notifications Notes
iPhone / iPad Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen Through the home-screen web app No App Store app verified
Android Browser menu → Add to Home Screen Through the home-screen web app No Google Play app verified; avoid APKs
Windows / Mac Any modern browser at candy.ai Not verified Bigger screen for chat; Shorts stay vertical
Third-party “Candy AI APK” Unknown download sites — Don’t install

The home-screen version is still the website. It just opens from an icon, without the browser clutter, so it feels like an app. You get the same features, the same prices and the same login.

Desktop works fine too. Chat is easier with a real keyboard, and image generation is nicer on a big monitor. Shorts episodes are vertical (9:16), so on a laptop you’ll be watching a tall rectangle in the middle of the screen. Phones are where the format makes the most sense.

The simplest test costs nothing: open Candy on your phone right now, make a free account (no card), and watch an episode 1 in the browser. Episodes 1 and 2 of every regular series are free, 248 episodes in total, and you can decide about installing once you know you’ll be back.

How to install the Candy AI app on iPhone (Safari)

Safari is the surest route on iPhone and iPad. The whole thing takes under a minute.

  1. Open Safari and type candy.ai in the address bar.
  2. Sign in, or create a free account. Candy offers Google sign-in and email.
  3. Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
  4. Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  5. Keep the name or edit it, then tap Add.
  6. Open Candy from the new icon and allow notifications if you want them.

Candy’s own “Get App” prompt points you to the same Share → Add to Home Screen steps, so if you see it, you can follow along there.

A few iPhone tips:

  • Can’t find Add to Home Screen? Scroll further down the share sheet, or tap Edit Actions to add it.
  • Notifications are optional. Say no and the app still works; you can change it later in Settings.
  • Rename it if you like. What you call the icon is between you and whoever borrows your phone.

No Apple ID password, no download bar, nothing to update. When Candy changes its site, the home-screen version gets the change automatically, because it’s the same site.

How to add Candy to your Android home screen (Chrome)

On Android the steps happen in your browser’s menu instead of a share sheet. Chrome is the most common, so here’s Chrome.

  1. Open Chrome and go to candy.ai.
  2. Sign in, or create a free account with Google or email.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap Add to Home screen. Newer Chrome versions may label it Install app instead.
  5. Confirm with Add or Install.
  6. Launch Candy from the new icon and allow notifications if you want them.

Using Samsung Internet, Firefox or another browser? The option lives in that browser’s menu too. The wording varies a little from browser to browser, but you’re looking for Add to Home Screen.

The important part is what you don’t do:

  • No APK download.
  • No “install from unknown sources” setting.
  • No third-party app store.

If anything asks you to change a security setting to get Candy, that isn’t Candy. The legitimate install never leaves your browser, and it never asks for anything beyond your normal Candy login.

It’s the only app installation I know of that’s faster than finding the charger.

Candy AI on the App Store and Google Play: what we found

Short version: we didn’t verify any official Candy AI listing on the App Store or Google Play, and Candy’s own site sends you to Add to Home Screen, not to a store. I’d rather say that plainly than guess.

If you run into a store listing using the Candy name:

  • Check the developer. Candy is operated by EverAI Limited, a company registered in Malta. A listing from anyone else isn’t Candy’s app, however familiar the icon looks.
  • Read the permissions. A chat-and-video app has no business asking for your contacts, call log or text messages.
  • Compare the prices. Candy’s plans page lists Premium at $3.99/mo on the 12-month plan (billed $47.88), $8.99/mo for 3 months and $13.99 for 1 month. An app selling “Candy tokens” at other prices is a red flag.
  • Don’t use your Candy password in an app you can’t confirm is Candy’s.

A similar name and a convincing icon cost a scammer nothing. The home-screen web app is the one version you know is the real Candy, because it is the real Candy. If Candy ever launches a native store app, check the developer name first.

Candy AI APK and mod files: why to skip them

Search “Candy AI APK” and you’ll find download sites offering the app file directly, often as a “mod” with premium unlocked or unlimited tokens. We couldn’t verify any official Candy APK, so treat every one of them as a third-party file.

Here’s what you risk by installing one:

  • Malware. An APK can bundle anything, and Android has to be told to trust unknown sources before it will even install it. You’re switching off a safety check to let a stranger’s code onto your phone.
  • Stolen logins. A fake Candy login screen inside a modded app looks just like the real one. Type your password and someone else has it.
  • Card fraud. Fake checkout pages are an easy way to collect card numbers from people who think they’re buying tokens.
  • Nothing in return. Locked episodes are unlocked with tokens on a Premium account, and Candy says an unlocked episode is “Yours forever.” Everything we can see suggests that lives on your Candy account, so a modified app file has nothing real to unlock.

I like a bargain as much as anyone, but a “cracked” app is a bargain the way a free puppy from a van is a bargain.

The legitimate version is free, installs in under a minute and comes with 248 free episodes. Our leaks and mod APK explainer covers the rest of the scam landscape, and is Candy AI safe covers billing and privacy.

Candy AI login: Google one-tap or email

Logging in to Candy works the same on every device, because every device is using the same website.

  • Google one-tap. Candy offers Google one-tap sign-in, the quickest way in.
  • Email. Prefer to keep Google out of it? Sign up with an email address and password.
  • No card at sign-up. You only pay if you choose a Premium plan.

The home-screen app may ask you to sign in once more the first time you open it, since phones often keep it separate from your browser tabs. After that, it behaves like any logged-in website.

A few habits worth having: use a password you don’t reuse anywhere else, sign out on shared computers, and reach Candy by typing candy.ai rather than tapping a login link in a random message. For account or billing problems, use Candy’s Help Center, not a third-party “support” page.

On privacy: Premium charges show up as “EverAI” on your statement. Plans renew automatically, and Candy says you can cancel any time in settings; our cancellation guide walks through it.

The login is the least interesting part of Candy, which is exactly how a login should be.

Watching Candy Shorts on your phone

Candy Shorts was built for phones. Every episode is vertical (9:16), most run 40 to 120 seconds, and the average free one lasts about 66 seconds, roughly the time it takes your coffee to cool.

What the mobile player gives you:

  • English subtitles, plus dubs on many series (French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese).
  • Speed control from 0.5x to 2x.
  • Free episodes 1 and 2 of every regular series on a free account, 248 in all. The full list is in our series catalog.
  • Locked episodes at 12 tokens each, or 30 on Candy Creators series. A standard five-episode series costs 36 tokens to finish.

The phone also suits what happens after a series ends. Most series hand you to a chat with the lead character in AI girlfriend chat, a bit like getting a text from the main character after the credits roll. There are also AI phone calls, which need a subscription and cost 3 tokens a minute (beta price).

New here? Our Candy Shorts free guide picks the best free episodes, and the pricing page has the math. The money line holds: start free; if you’re going to finish more than one series a month, the annual plan at $3.99/mo is the cheapest way in.
