Short answer
Yes, you can watch Candy Shorts free: episodes 1 and 2 of every non-Spicy series play free on a free Candy account, and sign-up doesn’t ask for a card. That’s 248 free episodes, about 268 minutes across 124 of Candy’s 133 series. Episode 3 onward is locked at 12 tokens (30 on Candy Creators series), the 9 Spicy titles have nothing free (even their first two episodes need Premium), and there’s no Premium free trial.
Candy Shorts free, by the numbers
I went into the free tier expecting the usual bait: one blurry trailer and a credit-card form. Instead I found 248 actual episodes, which is more than some streaming apps give paying customers.
Candy Shorts free viewing runs on one simple rule: episodes 1 and 2 of every regular series play free once you’re signed in to a free Candy account. You can browse as a guest, but to press play Candy wants you signed in. Sign-up doesn’t ask for a card.
| Free Candy Shorts | Checked October 2, 2026 |
|---|---|
| Series in the catalog | 133 |
| Series with free episodes | 124 (all except the 9 Spicy titles) |
| Free episodes | 248 |
| Free viewing time | ≈268 minutes (4.5 hours) |
| Average free episode | ≈66 seconds |
| Card needed to sign up | No |
Why exactly two per series? That’s the rule, with no exceptions in the free tier. Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right looks like one, because Candy lists its episode 3 at 0 tokens, but that episode is included with Premium rather than free.
The episodes are vertical (9:16), usually 40 to 120 seconds long, with English subtitles. Many series also carry dubs in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese or Japanese.
Four-plus hours doesn’t sound like a lot until you remember each episode lasts about a minute. That’s a lot of cliffhangers per hour, and my blood pressure has met most of them personally.
The full series catalog shows every title with its free and locked episodes, so you know what you’re getting before you press play.
What isn’t free: episode 3, Spicy titles and 18+ extras
The free part ends exactly where any sensible business would put a paywall: right after episode 2’s cliffhanger. Here’s what a free account can’t do.
- Episode 3 onward is locked. Each locked episode costs 12 tokens, or 30 tokens on Candy Creators series, the ones starring licensed AI twins of real performers. Unlocking requires Premium. Once unlocked, Candy says the episode is “Yours forever. No ads, no waiting.”
- The 9 Spicy series have nothing free. They carry Candy’s 🔥 Spicy label: guests see a blurred card and a free account shows the listing. Between them they hold 62 episodes. Episodes 1 and 2 of each cost 0 tokens but are included with Premium, and every locked episode is 30 tokens (50 on the two Creators Spicy titles). The Spicy tag page names all nine.
- 18+ image and video generation is Premium. So is creating your own AI girlfriend, and on a free account each of these, plus phone calls, stops at an “Upgrade to Unlock” prompt.
- AI phone calls need a subscription and cost 3 tokens a minute (beta price). A Scene Video, a 5-second clip of a chat moment, costs 12 tokens.
- Private Content packs are the big extra cost. Mila Nowak’s two packs run 290 tokens each, nearly three months of Premium’s allowance. Previews are free to look at; unlocking isn’t. Our Private Content guide has the details.
- Unlimited text messages are listed as a Premium perk, which tells you free chat has a limit. Candy doesn’t publish that limit on its plans page, so I won’t guess a number.
That’s the honest downside list. The upside is that none of it matters until you know if you even like the format. 248 episodes is a proper sampler, not a trailer reel. Make the free account, watch a few episode 1s tonight, and decide before you spend a cent.
Is there a Candy AI free trial?
No, not in the sense of a free week of Premium. When I checked the plans page on October 2, 2026, there was no trial offer: you pick a billing length and pay. The free account is the trial, and it’s more generous than most because it never asks for a card.
If you want Premium for a short test run, these are the US billing options Candy showed:
| Billing | Price shown | Charged |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $3.99/mo | $47.88 per year |
| 3 months | $8.99/mo | $26.97 |
| 1 month | $13.99/mo | $13.99 |
| Every 2 weeks | — | $9.79 |
| Weekly | — | $5.60 |
The weekly option is the smallest single charge, but left to renew it works out to roughly $24 a month, six times the annual rate. We didn’t verify how many tokens the 2-week and weekly options include, so read the plan card before paying.
All plans renew automatically for the same price and term, and Candy says you can cancel any time in settings. Charges appear as “EverAI” on your statement, and local taxes may be added.
Ignore anyone selling a “Candy AI free trial code.” The 70% annual discount is applied automatically on the plans page, and pages promising a code are fishing for something other than your gratitude.
The best free Candy Shorts to watch first
Not all free episodes pull their weight. Some series spend their two free minutes on setup; others end episode 2 on a hook that has you reaching for your wallet. These six earn their free time. I picked them for story and variety, not for which ones cost the most.
| Series | Lead (all adults) | Free runtime | Tokens to finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| She Was Sent to Kill Me | Delilah Kane, 21 | 2:31 | 36 |
| NightWire | Olivia Carter, 28 | 2:29 | 36 |
| Kiss My Enemy | Brooke Madison, 39 | 2:50 | 48 |
| YES MA’AM | Diana Demont, 37 | 2:15 | 216 |
| Under Her Watch | Sophie Dee’s AI twin | 3:06 | 90 |
| Private Lessons | Mia Malkova’s AI twin | 3:00 | 90 |
- She Was Sent to Kill Me is a survival game of players and hunters. A player who happens to be a doctor offers to patch up the wounded hunter aiming at him, then the order comes down: “Delilah, kill him.” Best pure thriller hook in the free tier.
- NightWire is neon-city sci-fi: a memory courier breaks the job’s one rule, never open what you carry, and the memory turns out to involve Olivia Carter.
- Kiss My Enemy puts Brooke Madison in a fight that was supposed to end her career. It didn’t, and the rematch is 30 days out.
- YES MA’AM sends a mouthy recruit to his commanding officer’s office on day one. At 20 episodes, it’s Candy’s second-longest series, so the free part is a small slice.
- Under Her Watch and Private Lessons are Candy Creators series: a summer club job with a very hands-on water-safety lesson, and a groom-to-be booking one-on-one fitness sessions. You’re watching licensed AI Digital Twins, not filmed footage.
How to get the most out of Candy AI Shorts free
A few habits stretch 248 free episodes further and keep you from paying for a series you’d have quit anyway.
- Make the free account first. No card, and it’s the only way to play anything. Google sign-in and email both work.
- Run the episode 2 test. If you don’t care how episode 2 ends, you won’t care about episode 5. Skip it; there are more than a hundred other series with free episodes.
- Sample wide, then go deep. Watch episode 1 of five or six series in one sitting, which takes less time than choosing a pizza topping. Then finish episode 2 on the ones that stuck.
- Check the length before you get attached. 113 of the 124 series we mapped run 5 episodes (36 tokens to finish). My bestie betrayed me runs 34 episodes (384 tokens), and Mona’s Worst Enemy and Caught Between Sisters run 15 each (156 tokens).
- Use the player. Speed control runs from 0.5x to 2x, with English subtitles and dubs on many series.
- Don’t chase “full free episodes” elsewhere. The rest of the internet offers re-uploads and bait, which our leaks explainer covers in more detail than I’d like.
Most series end by handing you to a chat with the lead character, which is how Candy turns a show into a conversation. You reach that hand-off at the end of a series, past the paywall.
What Candy Shorts costs once the free episodes run out
Here’s the arithmetic that matters. Premium includes 100 tokens a month, and locked episodes cost 12 tokens each (30 on Creators series).
| To finish | Locked episodes | Tokens |
|---|---|---|
| A standard 5-episode series | 3 × 12 | 36 |
| A Candy Creators series | 3 × 30 | 90 |
| Kiss My Enemy (6 episodes) | 4 × 12 | 48 |
| YES MA’AM (20 episodes) | 18 × 12 | 216 |
| My bestie betrayed me (34 episodes) | 32 × 12 | 384 |
So one month’s allowance finishes about two standard series (72 tokens) with 28 left for two more episodes elsewhere, or one Creators series with 10 to spare. If you want more than that, you need extra tokens on top of Premium, and top-ups are a Premium-member thing: the token store isn’t available on a free account, and I haven’t seen the prices.
On the 12-month plan ($3.99/mo, billed $47.88), if you count the subscription as nothing but tokens, each 12-token episode works out to under 50 cents, and finishing a standard series uses about $1.44 of your allowance.
For scale: unlocking every locked episode we mapped in the non-Spicy series, 439 at 12 tokens and 24 at 30, adds up to 5,988 tokens. That’s roughly 60 months of Premium allowance, or nearly five years of very dedicated viewing. I did that math so you don’t have to, and so my accountant never has to see it.
The full breakdown, including phone calls and Scene Videos, is on our Candy AI pricing page. The short version: start free; if you’re going to finish more than one series a month, the annual plan at $3.99/mo is the cheapest way in.
Is Candy AI free beyond Shorts?
Partly. Candy AI is free to join and free to sample, and the free account isn’t limited to the Shorts player. You can browse characters across the Girls, Anime and Guys categories and get a feel for the chat side.
The parts most people want long term sit behind Premium: unlimited text messages, creating your own AI girlfriend, 18+ images and videos, the “Full Live Action Experience,” and 100 tokens a month for episodes, Scene Videos and phone calls. A free chat says it plainly in a banner: “Unlimited messages — Photos, video, voice & calls — Unlock.”
That split is fair, in my view. The paywall is clearly labeled instead of hidden behind a surprise checkout. I’ve seen far worse free tiers in this corner of the internet, usually right before a pop-up asked for my card “just to verify.”
My verdict on Candy AI free: it’s one of the more honest free offers around. Real episodes, not trailers, and you always see the token price before you spend. If one of tonight’s free episodes leaves you staring at a locked episode 3, you already know what it costs to find out what happens.
