Vampire’s Lust: the Candy Shorts horror romance, reviewed

Vampire’s Lust Candy Shorts opens like a horror movie with its lights off. A driver on an empty road at 3 a.m. is flagged down by a woman with a dead phone and a story: a man offered her a ride, got weird, and she ran. He offers the police, but she refuses and asks him to protect her through the night. A motel is the obvious answer. Episode 2 moves into the room, where he insists on two beds, promises to keep her safe, and mentions he’s married. She notes that he smells like the road and something warm underneath, and the conversation tilts. Candy’s description says she’s a vampire who plays with men, feeds and discards them, and that this man is the one thing she wants and won’t let herself take. The free episodes are suggestive, not explicit.

This is the batch’s most cinematic opening. Episode 1 plays the roadside-rescue scene straight, so the reveal that the helpless stranger is the predator works because you’ve been trained to feel sorry for her. Episode 2 does the turn well, with a line about vows and living forever that tells you everything. The caveat is tone: this one is dark, with a dominant vampire and a target who says stop, so it suits viewers who like menace in their fantasy. (Candy lists her at 21; the dialogue suggests the number is generous.) If you want a plot with teeth, it has them.

Episode 1 (59 seconds) is the roadside rescue: the 3 a.m. stop, the dead phone, the story about a man who wouldn’t take no, no police, and a request for protection through the night, ending at a motel. Episode 2 (78 seconds) is the room, the two beds and the promise to keep her safe, then a seduction that turns dark and ends on a threat of forever. Suggestive and menacing, but nothing graphic shown.
