What One Bed With My Roommate is about
One Bed With My Roommate Candy Shorts begins with coffee and a lot of unspoken things. Ren is broke and rents his spare room to Yama, his crush, and episode 1 is a masterclass in almost saying it: he’s caught staring at the toast, she says they’re a little too good at the roommate thing and, when she asks if she can tell him something, she backs out. Then a surprise visitor arrives with a bag. She’s Mira, her ex Dorian has dumped her and kicked her out, and Ren, who has just lost his job, can’t even cover his half of the rent. Yama proposes the obvious fix: split three ways, and Mira stays. Within minutes Mira claims the big closet and works out that Yama likes Ren. Her solution is a bet: they both go for him, whoever he falls for wins, the loser backs off for good, and he never learns it was a game. Candy lists Yama Gito, 20, as the lead profile.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
This one understands that a bet is a better engine than a crush. Episode 1 builds the wanting, episode 2 adds a third person and a rulebook, and the stakes are oddly practical: rent, a bed, a shared closet. Yama’s first reaction to the bet is that Ren isn’t a prize, which fits her boundary-minded profile and keeps the contest from turning mean, and Mira’s cheerful chaos gives the series its pace. The weak spot is Ren himself, who is mostly there to be pursued. (I have known roommate situations with fewer rules and much worse outcomes.) For 36 tokens, the setup promises escalation and an ex with unfinished business, which is more plot than most of the batch.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (68 seconds) is the slow burn: morning coffee, a stare at the toast, an almost-confession from Yama and a surprise arrival at the door. Episode 2 (83 seconds) is the contract: Mira’s breakup, Ren’s lost job, the three-way rent split and then the bet. Yama says Ren isn’t a prize, Mira says whoever he falls for wins, and the closing line sets the race: “Not if I get to him first.” Funny and flirty, not explicit.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: 3 × 12 = 36 tokens to finish. Premium is required and includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole series fits with 64 left over. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. The series ends in a chat with Yama’s profile. Candy’s own summary says an ex with a debt to collect shows up, and that’s all this page will say about what the locked episodes do with the bet.

Verdict
A funny, well-structured rom-com setup where rent, a bed and a bet raise the stakes. Finishing costs 36 tokens, inside one month of Premium, and the series ends in a chat with Yama. If episode 2’s last line makes you root for one of the roommates, the free pair did its job. Start there.
