What Trespasser of the Sunken Court is about
Trespasser of the Sunken Court Candy Shorts begins with a warning every thief ignores: nobody who slips into the sunken court walks back out. A mortal thief goes in for a stone, and then sees the person guarding it. Thalindra Sol-Kaelen, Third Princess of the Gilded Glade, calls him a thief in her garden and asks if he dared steal from a goddess. Every man who has knelt there has begged for his life; he hasn’t said a word. She asks what he really came for. Instead of killing him, she announces he’ll stay as hers. Episode 2 is the first morning of captivity, with a betrothed requesting the princess’s presence and a threat that if he’s found, they’re both dead. Candy’s description adds a crown and a kingdom at stake. The free episodes stay suggestive, not explicit.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
This is the batch’s strongest world-building in the smallest space. In under two minutes you get a court, a relic, a rank, a jealous betrothed and a thief with a sense of humor, and the voice-over gives it the feel of a story already underway. The leads trade lines with real rhythm, and the thief’s nonchalance in the face of death does a lot of work. The limits are the usual ones: the captor dynamic is familiar, and the free pair is mostly setup. (Candy lists Thalindra at 412, which makes her the only lead in the catalog with a legitimate claim to having seen it all.) If you want fantasy with stakes, start here.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (67 seconds) is the capture: the thief narrates his break-in, meets Thalindra, is caught kneeling in her garden and is told he’ll stay as hers instead of being killed. Episode 2 (59 seconds) is the first morning of captivity, with a betrothed summoning the princess and a warning that discovery means death for both. It ends on her challenge to earn his life. Both stay suggestive and playful, nothing explicit. The cliffhanger is a very large power imbalance.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: three episodes at 12 tokens each, 3 × 12 = 36 tokens to finish. Premium is required and includes 100 tokens a month, so one month covers it and leaves 64. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads, and the series ends in a chat with Thalindra Sol-Kaelen. No spoilers for locked chapters here; what you’re paying for is what happens when the betrothed gets closer.

Verdict
The most fully realized fantasy in the batch, with a court, a captor and a thief who keeps making jokes at the worst times. It’s a familiar power dynamic with excellent set dressing. Finishing costs 36 tokens, about a third of a Premium month, and the two free episodes cost nothing. Start with episode 1 and see whether you’d be on your knees or running.
