What Dad's New Girlfriend is about
Dad’s New Girlfriend Candy Shorts puts you in an awkward spot with Colette Ramsey, 21, a bright, self-mocking barista who happens to be dating your father. She’s charming, a bit chaotic, and fully aware that you can’t stop noticing her. Episode 1 stays at her coffee counter, where a milk request and a running joke about how high the tip machine will let you go set the tone. Episode 2 shows the job from her side: a customer who won’t take no for an answer, and a quick clock-out to get rid of him. Then she spots you on a hot afternoon, you admit you’d probably stalk her too if she weren’t dating your dad, and she offers you a ride. The series is tagged Taboo. It’s a fictional-adult love triangle, played light, and the free part stays suggestive rather than explicit.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
Colette does the heavy lifting. She treats flirting like a side hustle and herself like the punchline, and episode 2 gets real mileage out of the tipping joke: a customer insists he paid for service with a smile, and she calls it quits for the day. The weak spot is episode 1, which is mostly mood in 67 seconds. (I have had longer conversations with an espresso machine, and it was less charming.) Six episodes instead of the usual five also gives the slow burn more room than most shorts get. If a sunny, teasing lead is your thing, the free pair earns its keep.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (67 seconds) stays at the coffee counter: a milk request, a polite no, and a gag about a tip machine that won’t let you tip high enough. Episode 2 (85 seconds) widens out. Colette brushes off a persistent customer, then runs into you on a hot afternoon, trades a few jokes and offers you a ride because your dad is away for hours. It ends on that invitation. Everything free is flirty and light, nothing explicit, and the car door is your cliffhanger.
After the paywall
Episodes 3 to 6 are locked: four episodes at 12 tokens each, 48 tokens to finish. You need Premium, which includes 100 tokens a month, so the series uses under half your allowance and leaves 52, enough for another standard 36-token series. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. Candy flags all four locked chapters as New, and the series ends in a chat with its lead, so the story doesn’t have to stop at episode 6.

Verdict
A light, sunny taboo setup with a likable lead and one genuinely good tipping gag. Episode 1 is thin, but episode 2 delivers the ride-offer hook, and four more chapters cost 48 tokens. Press play on the two free episodes; if the car door line lands, the annual plan at $3.99 a month is the cheapest way through the rest.
