What My Stepmom's Weekend is about
My Stepmom’s Weekend Candy Shorts starts with a fishing trip. Dad heads out until Sunday night and tells his wife, Riley, not to let his son study all weekend. The son is an adult, home from college for two days, and it turns out Riley noticed him long before he noticed her. Episode 1 is small talk with a purpose: does he have a girlfriend, why is he looking, and what are they watching tonight, horror or action? By episode 2 Dad is on the phone mid-movie and Riley is delivering some very carefully worded answers. The series is tagged Stepmom and Taboo, and everything you see is Riley Reid’s licensed AI Digital Twin on Candy, not filmed footage. It’s a fictional-adult setup, played flirty, and the free episodes stop short of explicit.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
The best thing about this one is the phone call. Episode 2 turns a dad checking in from a fishing trip into a double-meaning comedy sketch, and the whole series is built on that kind of wink. The weakest thing is common to five-episode shorts: the free two are an extended opening, and the story has barely started when they end. (I have sat through sitcom pilots with less plot and no better fishing joke.) It’s also a Candy Creators series, which means 30 tokens an episode instead of 12. You’re paying for the name on the poster. If that name is why you’re here, it’s a fair trade. If you’re shopping for plot, there are cheaper series in the catalog.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (60 seconds) is the goodbye and the setup: Dad leaves, Riley takes charge, the stepson realizes he’s being looked at, and a movie night gets planned. Episode 2 (also 60 seconds) is the stronger of the pair. The call from Dad is the comic high point, then Riley improvises a bedtime story, makes clear he can stop her any time, and the episode ends exactly where things escalate. The free part is flirty and suggestive, not explicit. That’s a deliberate cliffhanger, and the next move costs 30 tokens.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: three episodes at 30 tokens each, 90 tokens to finish. Candy Creators series cost 30 tokens an episode instead of the standard 12. You need Premium, which includes 100 tokens a month, so the whole series fits in one month’s allowance with 10 tokens left over. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. The series ends in a chat with Riley’s Digital Twin, so the story doesn’t stop at episode 5.

- ✕ Stepmom storylines aren’t your thing
Verdict
A tidy, tongue-in-cheek setup that spends its two free minutes on charm and one very good phone call. It’s a Creators series, so the price is 90 tokens for three episodes, still inside a month of Premium. Watch the free pair first; if episode 2’s last minute doesn’t leave you wanting episode 3, you’ve lost nothing.
