What My Roommates Made a Bet is about
My Roommates Made a Bet Candy Shorts starts with a classifieds mistake. You’re broke, the room is the cheapest in the city, and you skip the fine print. When you arrive, your two new roommates, Sienna and Mia, are suspiciously welcoming. The ad said chill roommates; both of them assure you they’re very chill. Then you overhear the real terms: fifty bucks says one of them gets you into her bed first, and the loser covers your rent. They’re betting on you like you’re a prize. Only you’re not the mark they think you are. By the end of episode 1 you’ve decided that if they want to play a game, you’ll play it back. Candy tags the series Nympho, everyone involved is a fictional adult, and the free episodes stay on the suggestive side of the line.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
The best thing about My Roommates Made a Bet is that it gives you the upper hand in the first minute. Most seduction setups treat the viewer as the target. This one makes you the person with the information, and the fun shifts from will-they to how-long-can-I-keep-a-straight-face. Sienna and Mia are written as genuine rivals, so the competition has real friction and neither feels like a prop. (In this economy, I’d have taken the room too.) The weak spot is the usual one for a short: the free pair is mostly setup and one very large escalation at the end of episode 2. And because it’s an original-cast series, there’s no chat with a lead at the finish.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (74 seconds) is the move-in: the too-cheap ad, the welcoming roommates, the overheard bet and your decision to play along. Episode 2 (66 seconds) turns the competition up. Each roommate makes her move in the morning, one flirts openly, one escalates, and by the end the rivalry has become a head-on collision, with a taunt about who really wins. Playful and suggestive, nothing explicit.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: three episodes at 12 tokens each, 36 tokens to finish. You need Premium, which includes 100 tokens a month, so you’d still have 64 tokens left afterward. Unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. Candy’s own pitch warns that not everything is as it seems, and we’ll leave that warning unexplained. This series uses an original cast with no chat character, so it ends with the finale, and it has no dubs yet.
Watch it if…
- ✓ Rivalry-driven, comedic seduction plots

- ✓ Roommate-comedy fans on a budget
- ✓ A cheap, 36-token finish
Skip it if…
- ✕ You want a chat with the lead afterward

- ✕ You need a named lead profile
Verdict
A funny, brisk setup that flips the usual dynamic by making you the one who knows. Sienna and Mia compete convincingly, the stakes are specific, and finishing costs 36 tokens. There’s no chat at the end, so you’re buying a story, not a character. Watch the two free episodes; if the taunt in the last scene makes you want the next round, episode 3 is only 12 tokens away.
