Whatever Your Stepmom Says Candy Shorts begins with a work trip. Dad heads out, puts his 22-year-old wife Ava in charge of the house, and gives her adult stepson the only instruction he needs: whatever your stepmom says, you do. Ava, whom Candy’s profile calls rebellious, teasing and fond of pushing boundaries, takes that very literally. Rule one is that phones live in the kitchen. Rule two is that he knocks before entering her room. Rule three is saved for later, which is good rulebook design for a series that wants you to keep watching. Flirty and suggestive, nothing explicit, and a cliffhanger that’s hard to ignore.
