What The Maid My Wife Hired is about
The Maid My Wife Hired Candy Shorts runs on a time window. Your wife hires a new maid, leaves for work, and tells you she’ll be back at 8:00. From the moment the door closes, it’s just you and the maid, and the series never lets you forget it. In episode 1 your wife makes a point of telling you to be nice to her. The maid asks whether she’s doing a good job, sir, and when your wife phones to ask how it’s going, you say everything’s fine. In episode 2 the maid takes her instructions very literally, cheerfully explaining that she was told to take care of the entire house. It’s a Maid, Wife and Taboo setup with fictional adults, played as a comedy of manners, and the free part stays suggestive rather than explicit.
Why it works (and where it doesn’t)
The stakes are simple, and that’s the point. A closed house, a wife on a deadline and a maid who treats her job description as an invitation make a better engine than most of the plots in this price range. Episode 2’s closing line is the best thing in the free part. The weakness is how little there is: both episodes are around a minute, so you’re judging a setup, not a story. (I have never been called the last dirty thing in a spotless house, and I’d like that on record.) For free, it’s a fair sample of the tone.
The free episodes
Episode 1 (64 seconds) is the setup: the new maid starts, your wife says she’ll be back at 8:00, and a phone call asks how it’s going. Everything’s fine, supposedly. Episode 2 (54 seconds) is shorter and sharper. The maid opens with a breezy “Oops, sorry,” explains she’s just doing her job, then finds that the house is spotless and the last dirty thing in it is you. That’s the cliffhanger. It’s suggestive, never explicit, and dialogue-light.
After the paywall
Episodes 3, 4 and 5 are locked: three episodes at 12 tokens each, 36 tokens to finish, which leaves 64 of Premium’s 100 monthly tokens. You need Premium to unlock, and unlocked episodes are yours forever, no ads. Candy flags all three as New, and the series ends in a chat with its lead character, so the story doesn’t have to stop at episode 5.
Watch it if…

- ✓ Viewers who like a ticking clock
- ✓ Short, low-commitment free episodes
- ✓ People who enjoy a cheeky closing line
Skip it if…
- ✕ You want a lot of dialogue and plot
- ✕ Cheating storylines aren’t your thing
Verdict
A neat, low-stakes fantasy with a clear clock and a good closing line, undercut by very short free episodes. The free pair costs nothing and tells you whether the tone suits you; finishing is 36 tokens. Press play on episodes 1 and 2, and if you want to see how the 8:00 deadline plays out, the annual plan makes the rest cheap.
