Episode 1 recap
Welcome to the apartment. Episode 1 is 67 seconds of Daisy making an entrance. She shows up unannounced at her step-brother’s place, asks if he missed her, and explains that Dad said she could stay for the summer. His girlfriend gets a very warm, very teasing greeting in return. Daisy then declares she’s filthy from the trip and heads for the shower, wrapped in a towel, while the girlfriend asks if she’s always like that. His inner monologue is the less polite version of the answer: this is his step-sister, the apartment is small, and the girlfriend sits twenty feet away. When the girlfriend asks what on earth is wrong with Daisy, he promises to talk to her, and says it’ll be fine. The episode closes with someone asking who’s that, and doesn’t say.
The momentDaisy’s entrance line, “Did you miss me?”, lands while she’s in a towel and he’s standing beside his girlfriend. Subtle, it isn’t.
